Experimental Study on Cooling Performance of a Hybrid Microchannel and Jet Impingement Heat Sink

Thermal management at a high heat flux is crucial for high-power electronic devices, and jet impingement cooling promising solution. In this paper, hybrid sink combining microchannel was designed, fabricated tested in closed-loop system with R134a as the working fluid. The thermal contact resistance measured by using steady-state method, of obtained different fluxes flow rates. maximum dissipation 400 W/cm2 achieved on heater area 210 mm2, 0.11 K/W pressure drop 13.5 kPa under rate 1.90 L/min. Low can be stemming from highly-dense micro-jet array separate inflow outflow microchannels.
